A new restaurant booking platform offering half-price dining has launched in Oxford. First Table rewards early bird diners with 50% off their food bill when booking the first tables of the evening at participating restaurants.

Already established in cities such as London, Manchester, and Bristol, Oxford is the latest location to join the global platform, which aims to make dining out more affordable while supporting local restaurants during quieter times.

Founder Mat Weir said: “Oxford lives on discovery, from Jericho to Cowley Road and the Covered Market. First Table lets locals and visitors book the first table of the evening and enjoy 50% off food at brilliant Oxford restaurants, perfect for pre-theatre near the Playhouse or after a punt on the Cherwell. We are excited to support the city’s independents and help venues fill early seats.”

Local restaurateur Andi Bershini, owner of 100% Pasta and Bbuona, added: “First Table is the ideal platform to help us reach more people to fill those off-peak tables and attract new diners.”

More than 1,000 restaurants across the UK are already part of the scheme, connecting over 2.6 million diners with discounted dining experiences.
